Colin Kaepernick Keeps Promise to Drive Change

On February 3rd, USA Today reported on the philanthropic gifts that Colin Kaepernick has awarded to various community organizations following his protest of racial oppression and police brutality, including his $500,000 donation to The San Francisco Foundation. “When you talk about the issues of inclusion and equality and equity and what does it mean to have a vibrant community, communities where people feel they belong and feel safe, it’s important to have conversations like this between law enforcement and people of color,” said Gail Fuller, the vice president of marketing and strategic communication for the San Francisco Foundation.
