Ethel Seiderman, Zealous Marin Advocate For Children And Families, Dies At 84

On July 27th, Marin Independent Journal reported on the life of Ethel Seiderman.  “In 1979, The San Francisco Foundation and the Zellerbach Family Foundation chose Mrs. Seiderman’s center as one of four in the Bay Area to launch a national project aimed at giving low-income and ‘ethnically isolated’ families access to resources and a sense of community. That effort led to the formation of the nationwide Parent Services Project. Mrs. Seiderman served as executive director of the Marin branch, in San Rafael’s Canal neighborhood.”
