Director of Development
Pamela Doherty is the Foundation’s Director of Development and builds relationships with new donors. She works closely with individuals, families and private foundations who are considering a fund at TSFF, as well as with legal, financial and wealth advisors.
Pamela brings 24 years of experience in the philanthropic arena. Most recently, she worked for seven years as a consultant specializing in nonprofit management, board governance and fundraising. Prior to that she served as Chief Executive Officer for Carondelet Foundation, the fundraising entity for a healthcare network in Southern Arizona. Pamela was the founding Executive Director for the Center for Planned Giving at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, where she worked with individuals and families to craft effective strategies for charitable giving and for leaving a legacy. She also provided counsel and training on charitable gift planning to nonprofit organizations and professional advisors. Pamela achieved the Certified Fundraising Executive designation (CFRE) in 1998.
Pamela started her career in the field of advertising and public relations. She holds a BA in Communications and a Masters in Public Health. She is a member of the Full Circle Fund, a network of individuals who contribute money, time and expertise to nonprofits in the Bay Area.
