Policy Fund Initiative Officer, Partnership for the Bay’s Future
Why do you do what you do? What drew you to the foundation?
I do what I do because I care about shifting systems and structures to positively impact communities like the one that raised me; Black, hardworking, creative and resilient. I was drawn to the foundation by its equity agenda, and particularly, by its emphasis on racial equity.
How would you describe your role?
I’m responsible for developing and managing the Partnership for the Bay’s Future Policy Fund, which will help jurisdictions with the capacity and resources needed to advance policies and systems change across the 3P’s (protection, preservation, and production).
Are you involved in any volunteer activities?
I’m proud to serve as a board member for the African American Art & Culture Complex in San Francisco, which nurtures and facilitates the empowerment of community through Afro-centric artistic and cultural expression, media, education and programming.
