Why do you do what you do?
I have more than 10 years of experience in private and public accounting. I enjoy problem-solving and the opportunity to work with numbers and the ability to make strategic recommendations that can impact an organization.
What drew you to the foundation?
Prior to the foundation, I worked in the nonprofit sector for several years. I enjoy working for nonprofits because I spend every day working on something that I am passionate about. I also enjoy learning new software and technologies that simplify accounting procedures and processes.
How would you describe your role?
My job duties include general ledger accounts reconciliation, recording investment earnings and fees, reconciling external reports and timely allocation to donor and administrative funds, and assisting our controller with our year-end financial statement audit and tax filing.
Are you involved in any volunteer activities?
During tax season, I am an active volunteer at Tax Aid, which provides free tax service to the San Francisco Bay Area community.
