Why do you do what you do?
Design is this beautiful balance of right and left brain thinking — blending strategy and problem solving with emotion and creativity to make something both useful and beautiful. I love the challenge of this field and the endless possibilities of design to connect us to each other and encourage positive action.
What drew you to the foundation?
The people here are incredibly passionate, smart and welcoming. And since my background isn’t in philanthropy, working at the foundation is an incredible opportunity to use my skill set to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and other important values in service of a better world.
How would you describe your role?
I support the foundation by designing the print and online experiences that represent it — everything from ads to marketing collateral to event materials — making sure our message connects with the right people in the right way. And I recently had the great honor of redesigning the foundation’s logo and visual identity system!
