FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The San Francisco Foundation announced today that Gail Fuller will join the organization as Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Communications.
Fuller brings broad experience in philanthropy and nonprofit organizations, and she will lead The San Francisco Foundation’s communications efforts as the organization rolls out its new strategy to advance racial and economic inclusion in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Fuller was most recently Vice President of Communications and Marketing at the Washington D.C. nonprofit Rebuilding Together, which focuses on transforming the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing the communities they serve.
Prior to that, she served as Communications Director at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, where she created the foundation’s first-ever communications department and where she played a leading role in the foundation’s efforts on diversity and inclusion.
“We are thrilled to have Gail join us at such an exciting time for The San Francisco Foundation,” said the foundation’s CEO Fred Blackwell. “Gail combines long-time experience in communications and philanthropy with a deep commitment to equity and inclusion. She is a great addition to the organization and I can’t wait to work with her.”
Fuller holds a BA from Wake Forest University and a MBA from Nova University. She is a two-time YMCA Black Achiever nominee and serves on the board of directors of the Right Question Institute, as well as the Kweli Journal.
She will begin work on August 22.
