Equity Ripples: Native American Community Leads Bay Area In Business Ownership

Bay City News Foundation used data from our Bay Area Equity Atlas to report that Native Americans have the highest rates of entrepreneurship in the Bay Area, compared with all other racial and ethnic groups. But on average, Native American owned businesses had revenues of $80,000 compared with $628,000 for white owned businesses and $247,000 for all businesses owned by people of color.
