Why do you do what you do?
I’m passionate about being part of a movement that’s building a more equitable and sustainable society. I also draw great satisfaction from connecting people’s personal values to effective organizations and tangible results.
What drew you to the foundation?
I’m impressed by the foundation’s commitment to equity and inclusion. In my fundraising career, I’ve been drawn to organizations that put equity at the center of their work in order to solve problems.
How would you describe your role?
As the Annual Giving Officer for the Bay Area Leads Fund, I’m responsible for expanding the fund through philanthropic partnerships with individuals and institutions. As a native of San Francisco, I’m thrilled to help the foundation grow its leadership work in order to influence public policy on the Bay Area’s most pressing issues.
Are you involved in any volunteer activities?
I serve on the advisory board for EcoViva, a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental and economic justice in Central America. I also participate as a mentor for emerging fundraising professionals through the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
