Why do you do what you do?
I enjoy helping people figure out how they can make their aspirations actually happen. An important part of that work is understanding what money is required and where it is going to come from.
What drew you to the foundation?
I am a fan of community foundations! They direct wealth toward a shared vision of improving a place, now and in the future. I am especially attracted to SFF’s focus on equity. The good fortune of the few should translate into benefits for all.
How would you describe your role?
As a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team, I help ensure the foundation knows what resources we have to deploy toward our work.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the arts and culture, and love exploring the many arts experiences available in San Francisco. I am on the board of Kaya Press, a nonprofit book publisher. Kaya finds, edits, and disseminates Asian and Asian diasporic poetry, fiction, and nonfiction from an Asian American perspective.
