Why do you do what you do?
I do what I do because it’s a duty to serve the communities I find affinity with. From incarceration, to homelessness, to a thriving lifestyle; I must make a way for others.
What drew you to the foundation?
The San Francisco Foundation is a pillar in the Bay Area. Most of the NGOs and initiatives that the foundation has supported, I’ve been a beneficiary of. So, the opportunity to support the Bay Area’s future is hands down an honor for me.
How would you describe your role?
I see myself as a resource liaison. I’m in a position to help highlight and enlighten communities to resources and thought partners.
What inspires you?
The San Francisco Foundation inspires me. The dedicated focus on this community, and the potential for the future role the Foundation must play. Also, progress inspires me. Coming from the criminal justice sector, the wave of progress we’ve made over the past decade, lets me know that we can fight and win the changes we want to see.
