Marin Independent Journal: SFF support for immigrant communities in Marin
The Marin Independent Journal delves into the critical work of the Marin Rapid Response Network, which is a program of SFF grantee Multicultural Center of Marin. Twenty-nine Marin residents, all of them undocumented, have been detained by ICE since January 2025. In response, the Marin Rapid Response Network has grown substantially, with 1,000 volunteer witnesses, 21 dispatchers and two part-time paid staff members. The network has received grants of $125,000 from the San Francisco Foundation, $75,000 from the Marin Community Foundation and $150,000 from Marin County.
