Commentary: Bay Area’s Low-income Areas Feel the Pinch

On December 13, the East Bay Times reported The San Francisco Foundation CEO Fred Blackwell and Urban Habitat program director of land use and housing Tony Roshan Samara’s editorial on displacement, resegregation, and the impact of income inequality in racially diverse communities across the Bay Area. “If we want to build a different future and a different region, we must come to grips with the reality that an economically prosperous region does not automatically translate into prosperity for all — or even most — of the region’s residents.”
