Support communities hit by January storms

The series of winter storms that recently hit California have caused significant flooding, mudslides, downed trees, and power outages around our region and across the state. Local community foundations have activated disaster relief funds that donors can contribute to in support of relief and recovery. We will continue to add disaster relief funds to this list as they are activated by local community foundations.

Santa Clara County and the greater Bay Area region

Silicon Valley Community Foundation supports immediate relief and long-term community recovery efforts when needs arise in the greater Bay Area region, with priority relief and response in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Santa Cruz County

Community Foundation Santa Cruz County is distributing disaster relief and recovery grants to trusted organizations rooted in their communities that have strong experience serving the communities most impacted by this disaster.

Short Purpose: for general support of the Santa Cruz County Disaster Fund

Sacramento Region

​Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s disaster relief fund provides support for organizations in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties responding to recent flooding.

Short Purpose: for general support of the Sacramento Region Disaster Relief Fund

​While we’ve highlighted funds supporting relief and recovery from storms and flooding in Northern California, other parts of our state are also currently coping with natural disasters. The League of California Community Foundations Disaster Relief, Recovery and Resilience Fund makes grants statewide.
