Why do you do what you do?
I enjoy working in the non-profit sector. Working with a mission-driven organization makes my work more meaningful. At the foundation, I am grateful to be part of a team that drives our equity, inclusion, and diversity goals.
What drew you to the foundation?
I am committed to social justice and equity. I learned about the foundation at my prior nonprofit job. I was impressed by the foundation’s commitment to advancing racial equity, inclusion, and diversity. It is nice to work in a place where its value and my personal value match.
How would you describe your role?
My role is to process gifts of the foundation and other accounting responsibilities. I ensure that gifts and other data are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
What inspires you?
I always admire people who are dedicated to philanthropy. Working in the non-profit sector to me is another form of contribution to philanthropy.
