Jennifer Benford Seibert
Senior Human Resources Manager
Why do you do what you do?
I want to use my experience and expertise to enhance the lifecycle support to the foundation staff and management and to increase the perceived value of the HR functions and services to the organization through innovative and collaborative thought partnership with and between stakeholders.
What drew you to the foundation?
I was drawn to the foundation by its mission, goals, and objectives of funding impactful initiatives inspired by grass-roots organizations whose ambition is to improve the quality of life in local communities.
How would you describe your role?
My role is to provide resources and support to those who support others. My role is to mirror and align foundation objectives with the execution of employment decisions relative to diversity, equity, and inclusion though the end-to-end employment process. I want our administrative structure to be aligned with other first-in-class organizations so that we can continue to build a team of professionals who support our brand.
Are you involved in any volunteer activities?
I currently serve as a Board Commissioner for the City of Oakland Commission on Aging and Co-chair of the Health and Welfare Committee of the NAACP Oakland Chapter. I also volunteer with Northern California Human Resources Association to moderate workshops during its annual convention.
