Housing justice advocates around the Bay Area have engaged for more than a year with the Association of Bay Area Governments to include racial segregation and structural inequality in the region’s new housing plan. One of the leads for this work and a strong SFF partner, Public Advocates’ Staff Attorney Shajuti Hossain, shares her insight into the housing planning process and the push to include racial segregation as a factor in how counties and cities allocate their housing zoning in coming years.
