Powering the promise of the Bay, together.
By contributing to one of SFF’s field of interest funds, you tap into the power of collective giving while supporting what matters to you most. These funds provide flexible grantmaking support to organizations advancing the work you care about. The team of experts at SFF will make grants from these funds to local nonprofits, so together we can fulfill the promise of the Bay Area.
How do field of interest funds work?
You can contribute to one or more field of interest funds in two ways: either by making a gift for current use, or by including a fund in your legacy plan. Legacy field of interest funds are part of SFF’s endowment. Each year, our expert team of grantmakers will distribute grants to nonprofits in the designated areas.
As a donor to a field of interest fund, you will receive updates on the nonprofits supported by the fund and have opportunities to engage with other donors who share your philanthropic interests.
How to give to a field of interest fund
You can contribute to a current use field of interest fund through your DAF, or by using the donation form below, or by contacting Karolo Aparicio, Annual Giving Officer, at kaparicio@sff.org.
If you are interested in including a field of interest fund in your estate plans, please contact Stephanie Dustman, Planned Giving Officer, at sdustman@sff.org.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) gift to one of the Field of Interest Funds is a great way to make a tax-wise gift in support of the issues you are passionate about. QCDs are allowable for anyone 70 ½ or older. Please see our Detailed Giving Instructions for more detail.
