Evictorbook is a web-based tool from the Anti-Eviction Mapping Project that will increase transparency around corporate ownership of housing. This work was supported by SFF initiative Great Communities Collaborative and their partners in the Oakland Preservation Table.
Transparency will help keep people in their homes by giving tenants and organizers key information about properties and landlords. It will help community organizers and tenants prevent illegal evictions and help organize tenants.
The information in Evictorbook will help preserve affordable housing by allowing community organizations to proactively identify and evaluate properties to purchase and stabilize.
