Alexa Contreras
Executive Assistant to the Chief Philanthropy Officer
What drew you to the foundation?
I started a wellness brand during the pandemic that trains executives on implementing mindfulness in the workplace. During my short time working for the foundation as a temp, I quickly realized what a special place it is to work. The care put into employees and positive company culture is felt and truly matches the impact made through the mission and through grants. I’m honored to dive deeper into philanthropy and wellness with SFF, the Bay Area’s community leader!
How would you describe your role?
I consider myself a people connector, a community builder, a public speaker, a problem solver and an event planner. Through my role at SFF, I feel behind the curtains supporting my team who also embody those same traits.
Are you involved in any volunteer activities?
I am a Dedicated Volunteer at Spirit Rock (a meditation center), St. Ignatius College Preparatory (Emeritus Board member), and occasionally at different organizations revolving around agriculture and/or feeding the homeless.
