Jeanne N.M.V. Chun
Manager of Investment Administration
Why do you do what you do? What drew you to the foundation?
I grew up in Hawaii where everyone is part of one big family, or ohana, and where watching out for and helping others is part of everyday life. My family has always been heavily involved in serving and the community and improving people’s lives, and I’ve tried to bring that aloha spirit to wherever I’ve lived across the country.
How would you describe your role?
Together with the Finance Team, I work to safeguard, manage and maximize the financial resources of the foundation’s assets, enabling it to better accomplish its work in the Bay Area.
Are you involved in any volunteer activities?
Helping to reduce hunger and food waste is an issue that is important to me and, as such, I am a regular volunteer at White Pony Express and The Urban Farmers.
