Why do you do what you do?
I began my career in the nonprofit sector, and after gaining experience in various fields, I felt a strong desire to return to mission-driven work. I wanted to be part of an effort that creates a positive impact on the world around me.
Having been born and raised in San Francisco, I am deeply committed to social justice and equity in the community I hold close to my heart. The San Francisco Foundation’s mission—ensuring that all people in the Bay Area are economically secure, rooted in vibrant communities, and actively engaged in civic life—perfectly aligns with my values and beliefs. Being able to contribute to this cause fills me with great joy.
What inspires you?
I’m actively involved with the alumni committee at ICA Cristo Rey Academy, a Dominican Catholic college preparatory high school in the Mission District. This school empowers girls from underserved communities to become confident, successful young women who can achieve their full potential. Our committee is dedicated to ensuring the long-term sustainability of this school community. Witnessing these young women thrive and succeed is a constant source of inspiration for me.
