The Role of Community Foundations in Addressing Affordable Housing and Homelessness

SFF’s Vice President of Policy and Innovation joined other leaders as a panelist on The Role of Community Foundations in Addressing Affordable Housing and Homelessness.

CFLeads and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s International and Philanthropic Affairs Division hosted the first session of a new series of webinars designed to help strengthen communication and coordination between HUD and community foundations.

HUD provided an overview of its efforts to address affordable housing and homelessness. The community foundations shared information about their investments, interventions, promising practices, and challenges in addressing affordable housing and homelessness.

Khanh shared how SFF’s all-in on housing approach is rooted in racial justice and economic inclusion. He focused on policy and systems change efforts, including wins such as creating the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority and the housing policies passed as a part of the Partnership for the Bay’s Future’s Policy Grants.
