SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The San Francisco Foundation (SFF) has hired Stephanie Chen as Associate Director of Professional Advisor Relations and Philanthropic Planning. This role is central to the foundation’s commitment as a community foundation, to promote philanthropy in the Bay Area and create an inclusive, equitable region.

In this role, Stephanie is responsible for the strategy, management, and execution of our professional advisor engagement program. Stephanie will also help oversee the foundation’s Professional Advisors Council and Emerging Advisors Network, as well as networking events and trainings for the larger advisor community.

Stephanie brings extensive experience in wealth management advisory services in the Bay Area. Previous to that, she worked in marketing and communications roles in Hong Kong and Toronto. She has led her firm’s volunteer initiatives, served on the board of the Woodside High School Foundation, and remains an active member of her church community. She is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business at Western University in London, Canada.

“I am excited to combine my experience in wealth management with my passion for fundraising,” says Chen. “The San Francisco Foundation is a resource for philanthropy, and a strong partner for professional advisors who want to support their clients’ charitable giving.”

Stephanie lives on the Peninsula with her family. She and her husband love playing tennis and are proud “survivors” of their mixed doubles team partnership.
