Executive Assistant to the CEO & Board Liaison
Why do you do what you do? What drew you to the foundation?

I do what I do because people need help remembering that “all men are created equal,” that no one person is better than another, and that in helping one another, we ultimately help ourselves. This belief drives me daily and reminds me that even small actions can make a big difference. During the early 1980s, I rode to work with my aunt and listened to her speak about the meaningful work being done. It planted a seed in me, inspiring the dream of being part of a place dedicated to helping others. I never imagined I would be privileged to work here supporting the CEO. At the beginning of my career, I aspired to hold this position, and I am dedicated to making a positive impact in every way I can.

How would you describe your role?

I’m responsible for providing a wide range of support to the CEO, making sure his schedule is effectively managed, and preparing the necessary documentation for meetings. I play a key role in maintaining and liaising between the CEO, senior staff, board of trustees, elected officials, donors, grant organizations, and other high-level executives and political figures. By handling these responsibilities, I enable the CEO to execute his duties and advance the SFF’s agenda with greater efficiency. I ensure he is equipped with the proper tools and information for every meeting and engagement. Additionally, I serve as the liaison to the Board of Trustees, bridging communication and collaboration between the CEO, trustees, and staff to maintain alignment and support organizational goals.
