Why do you do what you do?
Everybody deserves the opportunity to be successful. While this is true for some, so many have been systematically and intentionally excluded from those opportunities. Growing up, I saw first-hand how my family has been impacted by being shut out of opportunities for generations.
What drew you to the foundation?
I share the foundation’s vision for racial justice and economic inclusion. It is bold and unapologetic. I appreciate the regional approach to tackling some of the most pressing issues in the Bay Area.
How would you describe your role?
I listen to our community and partners to unearth the shared values and visions. These values and visions will be the foundation on which we can build. I help people tell their stories because these stories hold the power move us to action.
