SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The San Francisco Foundation (SFF) has promoted Ayanna Reed to Vice President of Human Resources and Administration. Ayanna will continue to support the foundation in this VP role, the first VP level role in the foundation’s HR department.

Ayanna joined the foundation in 2021 as the Senior Director of Human Resources and Administration to pursue her interests in philanthropy. Ayanna’s focus on equity-based leadership has made a significant enhancement to the foundation’s culture and processes including the employee lifecycle process, total compensation philosophy and practice, technology enhancements, facilities and vendor management, and deeper engagement with the HR Committee of the Board of Trustees.

“I am excited to enhance the strategic and cultural capabilities of the foundation,” she says. “The past three years have been a great opportunity to use my expertise in Human Resources and Facilities Administration while learning about philanthropy — a field that is new to me.”

Ayanna has more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources & Operations Management across diverse industries, including manufacturing, technology, consumer products, and non-profit organizations. Prior to SFF, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Oakland Museum of California.
