Why do you do what you do? What drew you to the foundation?
I admire and adamantly believe in the work that the San Francisco Foundation is doing to advance racial equity and economic inclusion, not just externally but also internally. I was previously working in the banking industry, where I was part of a great team, but I felt like something was missing. Reading about the foundation’s work in the Bay Area, the diversity of the people who make up the foundation, and seeing the passion they have for their work — these were all things that made me want to be a part of this organization.
How would you describe your role?
I am part of the team that ensures the responsible management of the endowment and donations to which the foundation has been entrusted. Our work allows the foundation to continuously serve the Bay Area through our various programs and grants.
